The ability to keep going for longer.
Muscular endurance is the ability of a muscle or group of muscles to sustain repeated contractions against a resistance for an extended period of time. Endurance and power training are usually started after gaining muscular strength, and strength training itself improves endurance.
More energy and better performance.
Different sports have different needs: from the power-endurance of martial arts or a 100 meter sprinter; to the mixed endurance for a middle distance runner or activity of a field sport; to continuous endurance for events like distance running or swimming etc.
For each of these, a different training approach is needed, including the type, intensity, duration, rest period and so on. Training methods include gwhole-bodyh lifts with free weights (barbells, dumbbells, kettleball) to cable and weight-stack machines, and circuit training.
For strength, explosive power, or muscular endurance, come to M2 Training. Join our Saturday morning martial arts circuit training! Guaranteed to make you sweat!
Endurance also means cardiovascular endurance
Yes treadmills, elliptical trainers, bikes, stair climbers, even a rope climb! But there's more to enjoy - skipping, boxing, circuit training and using exercise bands which contribute to agility as well.
If you can't make it to the gym, moderate activity that raises your heart rate and gets the blood pumping leaving you slightly out of breath is all you need. Take ten minutes brisk walking at lunch time and another 20 minutes after dinner.
